Om is is the one eternal syllable of which all exists, including the past, present and future. Om is the root of the universe and everything that exists together. It signifies creation and the oneness of all creation. It mystically embodies the essence of the entire universe. Just as there are 3 parts to the Om symbol there are 3 worlds: earth, atmosphere and heaven. Om in every form symbolizes that all material objects, phenomena, and thoughts are states of energy vibration.
By chanting the sound Om we move from a state of extroversion and stimulation to a more introspective, harmonious state, centering ourselves. Continuously chanting Om creates inner clarity, which may bring about insights and deeper meaning to our lives. From this practice of using Om awareness turns inward and all obstacles are overcome.
